Madrigal Winery

MadrigalWinery_PageLogoSince the late 1930’s, three generations of the Madrigal family have farmed some of Napa Valley’s finest vineyards. The family history is a constant source of inspiration, and the winemaker is the acclaimed Ed Sbragia, who built his reputation over 30 years of winemaking in the Napa, Sonoma and Dry Creek Valleys.
The Madrigal winery produces about 6,000 cases of wine a year, specializing in Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, Sauvignon Blanc, and small lots of single vineyard and estate wines.

Sauvignon Blanc

Elegant and medium-bodied, with sun-sweetened lemon and green tea flavors framed by tropical melon and jasmine aromas, highlighted by bright, crisp acidity.

Petite Sirah

One of the first wines created at Madrigal, Petite Sirah is a versatile and food friendly wine. The 2011 vintage has intense aromas of blueberries, blackberries and spice, with big, bold flavors of fresh boysenberries and sweet cherries and a long, rich finish.

Zinfandel

The classic 2012 growing season has produced a wine with raspberry, chocolate and star anise aromas, opening to rich, concentrated flavors of black cherries, warm berry compote and sweet oak. Quick, think of something to grill!

Cabernet Sauvignon

A big, rich Napa Valley Cabernet with dark fruit and spice aromas and a hearty core of currant and black cherry flavors. The wine has elegant balance, soft tannins and a long, delicious finish.
