Launching Guinness Irish Wheat required the very first large-scale malting of Irish wheat, installing a new grain silo at the brewery, and trusting a stout yeast to make a wheat beer – fortunately, it all worked out, yielding a delicious wheat beer with refreshing notes of banana, clove and citrus.
Established in 1759, St. James’ Gate is one of the oldest continuously operating breweries in the world. It’s where most of the Guinness served in the America is brewed.
