Gerard Bertrand Wines

Born in the South of France, Gerard Bertrand has been making wine with his father since he was 10 years old. Each of his wines, whether wed or white, rose or varietal, evokes images and emotions indigenous to the South of France. Each of his wines, then, evokes the art de vivre; the art of life. Gerard Bertrand offers red, white, rose, varietal, appellation, estate, still, sparkling, and dessert wines. Each ready to share a unique South of France experience.

 Gerard Bertrand Terroir Corbieres

Only the finest, very ripe grapes in perfect condition are selected and separated from their stalks (de-stemming) before being placed in vats for maceration for 10 to 15 days. The grapes varieties are vinified separately before being blended according to each grape quality. The wine ages eight months in French oak barrels. The result is a deep ruby color, rich and concentrated with complex black fruit aromas with a complex bouquet resulting from the diversity and balance of the grape varieties (black and red berries with subtle spices, vanilla and roasted aromas). The wine has a full body texture with a solid structure and elegance lingering into a long finish.
