Cooperstown Doubleday Baseball Bourbon is sourced in Indiana and blended several times by their distiller. A blend of new young bourbon and some 5 year old bourbon, it drinks remarkably well, like a fine “older” bourbon should. A mash bill of corn, rye, and barley, this whiskey is “up proofed” by our distiller to 90 proof to help define the burnt sugar nose, enhance the subtle notes of butterscotch and toffee that fill the mouth, and accentuate the desired “band-aid” finish so typical of older whiskies.
Cooperstown and baseball are like pancakes and syrup: they just make sense together. Cooperstown is the home of the National Baseball Hall of Fame. So It was a no-brainer, then, for Cooperstown Distillery to design a bottle that commemorates the connection between the place and the sport. Filled in a patented, specialty baseball decanter, this bourbon whiskey makes a great sipping spirit.
