Brown-Forman, one of the oldest, leading whiskey makers in the world is proud to introduce their first new bourbon in over 20 years, Coopers’ Craft Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.

WHY DID BROWN-FORMAN DECIDE TO RELEASE COOPERS’ CRAFT BOURBON?
The inspiration to create Coopers’ Craft stems from Brown-Forman founder George Garvin Brown’s vision—to make the best quality bourbon. As Brown-Forman is the only major distiller to own our own new barrel cooperage, we have a strong understanding of how to work with wood to create the best bourbons possible. Coopers’ Craft leverages our knowledge of barrels and expertise with wood to create a remarkably smooth bourbon.

Coopers_Craft_Flavor_Wheel_previewWHAT DIFFERENTIATES COOPERS’ CRAFT FROM OTHER BOURBONS THAT ARE ON THE MARKET?
Coopers’ Craft is matured using barrels produced in-house to our own specifications. Coopers’ Craft bourbon is a toasted wood whiskey, which uses a unique beech and birch charcoal-filter finishing process for a smooth and flavorful bourbon.

WHAT DOES TOASTED WOOD WHISKEY MEAN AND WHY 82.2 PROOF?
Toasted wood whiskey is the result of Brown-Forman Cooperage’s proprietary process during which we toast the staves ahead of charring. Coopers’ Craft is bottled at 82.2 proof for a smooth flavor profile and a well-balanced bourbon.

WHERE IS COOPERS’ CRAFT MADE AND WHERE ARE THE BARRELS FOR COOPERS’ CRAFT BOURBON MADE?
Chris Morris,  Master Distiller, leads a team of talented craftsmen who produce Coopers’ Craft at Brown-Forman Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky.  The barrels for Coopers’ Craft are raised at Brown-Forman Cooperage in Louisville, Kentucky.

WHY COOPERS’ CRAFT?
Hand-raised American white oak barrels contribute 100% of the color and 50% of the flavor of our bourbon. No other distiller can control the process from start to finish the way that Brown-Forman can, because— “What Matters Most, We Do Ourselves”
